Acupuncture technique consists in judiciously placing needles or magnets on precise points of the human body. But merely putting needles into a sick person at certain supposedly efficacious points is not acupuncture. In fact, acupuncture aims at restoring the balance between the body's different organs and entrails and, just as important, restoring the balance between the body and the external environment.
